We are getting so excited for our 2nd Virtual Field Fair next Friday, February 4th! We have over 100 agencies signed up to talk with our students about internship opportunities. In preparation for this event, please review Field Fair Logistics below. This information will also be available on the Moodle Field pages. Please remember this event is open to ALL social work students, both in our on campus and online programs!
Virtual events often encounter some bumps along the way, so please allow yourself extra time to problem-solve, and make sure to bring extra patience for field staff and agency members who may be navigating this virtual platform for the first time as well.
Field Fair Website
To get started, you will want to go to the Field Fair Website (https://sites.google.com/view/aufieldfair/home). This website will be where you will find more information and resources about the fair and agencies involved. The Field Fair Website will also be where you will go the morning of the Field Fair to join the Zoom Rooms, which is where you will connect with agency representatives. Field Fair Tips and Tricks
The Field Fair is an event that allows students to connect directly with partner organizations to learn more about internship, and potentially employment, opportunities. Zoom Rooms
Each Zoom Room will host 10-20 organizations. The Zoom Room links can be found on the Field Fair Website. You can find the list of agencies on the Agency List page, as well as under each of the Zoom Room links. Once you identify which organizations you would like to connect with, you will join the appropriate Zoom Room. Upon initial entry into the Zoom Room (i.e. Zoom Room 1), you will be greeted by a Field Team member and SSW faculty.
Organization Breakout Rooms
Once you join a Zoom Room, you will see a list of breakout rooms to join. Each organization will have its own breakout room so you can connect directly with a representative from that organization. Students will be able to enter and exit breakout rooms at will, so please be mindful as you enter a breakout room that you may be entering into a conversation between a peer and the agency representative. If you need assistance choosing a breakout room, there will be AU representatives in the main Zoom Room to assist.
