The purpose of this course is to present an overview of individual behavior, group behavior, and organizational structures and processes that impact the effectiveness of organizations. The course emphasizes analysis and application of knowledge to improve performance and organizational effectiveness and to manage organizational change.

Students will become familiar with the multi-disciplinary nature of the field of organizational behavior and the major theorists who have contributed to the field, and appreciate the importance of understanding organizational behavior and identify factors that influence the effectiveness of organizations.

This course is taught online, asynchronously (which is another way of saying there are no scheduled times when we are all online at the same time and you can work when you want as long as you meet the assignment due dates and times). Students are expected to follow the online etiquette and meet assignment deadlines as outline below. The instructor will be available by appointment online and will respond to email within 48 hours unless otherwise posted on the course website.
